Performed live on CKUT 90.3FM February 17th 4-6am.
This is the first in a series of cassette tape releases investigating and experimenting with multiple layers
of radio transmission and reception.
Radio in the radio on the radio Vol.1 is the result of an improvisation using a myriad of percussive objects, voice, arpeggiator, and AM radio.
Most of the live sound was routed through a mixer whose output was sent through 2 short range fm transmitters and amplified through 2 fm radios set up in the studio. The signal from the radios was sent out through the 5000watt transmitter. CKUT's internet based live audio stream was used as a processor for all of the audio
