Fisgard Etude

This is the first sound study for Allison Moore's video mapping animation project at the Fisgard Lighthouse in Victoria, British Colombia.

I took inspiration from the communicative aspect of the light house and how it transmits a signal over a distance, much like a radio broadcast. I worked without having access to the images, so in many ways the piece
stands alone and fits into my radio art practice. The time signature was determined by the length of time it takes for the light in the lighthouse to make a full rotation.
